National Contact Point of the "Horizon Europe" Program for the "CLIMATE, ENERGY, AND MOBILITY" area
Mission
National Contact Points (NCPs) are highly professional support structures for the implementation of the European Union’s framework programs for research and innovation. The NCP of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies provides guidance, consultation on practical aspects of participation, and support for participants, potential participants, and all stakeholders of the “Horizon Europe” Program in the “Climate, Energy, and Mobility” area. The goal of the NCP’s activities is to provide the most complete and accurate information directly related to the Program in the national language and in the format of personalized support. The NCP plays a key role in achieving the goals and expected results of the “Horizon Europe” Program, ensuring that the program becomes known and accessible to all potential participants.
Key Tasks of the NCP
- Support the integration of Ukraine into the European Research Area, promoting mutually beneficial scientific, technical, and innovative cooperation with the European Union;
- Inform scientific, technical, and innovative entities about the “Horizon Europe” Program, including disseminating information about current and upcoming calls, participation conditions, and submission of project proposals;
- Increase public awareness and inform small and medium-sized enterprises about the opportunities of the “Horizon Europe” Program;
- Provide free consulting assistance on finding partners, organizing quality project management, legal and financial issues, customs procedures, etc.;
- Organize and conduct information days, training seminars for target groups (universities, research institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises, women scientists, etc.) on relevant thematic areas of the “Horizon Europe” Program.
Functions of the NCP
- Disseminate informational and analytical materials about the “Horizon Europe” Program, including information on participation conditions, submission of project proposals, project budget formation, and reporting;
- Organize informational and educational activities in the NCP’s designated area of work: information days, training seminars, conferences, fairs, thematic events for various target groups, etc.;
- Participate in events and projects of the European Commission in the NCP’s area of work: training seminars, conferences, exhibitions;
- Interact and exchange information with other NCPs, the Coordination Center, and NCPs of foreign countries in the relevant area;
- Monitor the participation of scientific, technical, and innovative entities in the “Horizon Europe” Program;
- Prepare analytical materials for submission to government authorities with proposals on participation in “Horizon Europe” Programs;
- Prepare proposals for improving cooperation with the European Union in the field of scientific research, technological, and innovative development;
- Ensure information exchange with other national contact points and the Coordination Center;
- Promote the popularization of innovative products and scientific, scientific-technical activities results for finding co-executors for preparing joint projects;
- Facilitate the involvement of scientific, technical, and innovative entities in ongoing international projects;
- Provide informational support for promoting the NCP’s activities on the Internet.
Coordination Center
The functions of the Coordination Center for the NCP network are assigned to the “Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine” department of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine.
