In order to form a creative generation of scientifically active youth in the field of materials science on the basis of Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University (KNAHU), the holding of the International Student Professional Creative Competition “Materials Science” in January-June 2024 was organized. University Olympiads 2024 are planned for: Strength of Materials, Theoretical Mechanics, Structural Mechanics, Descriptive Geometry, Computer Science, Informatics, Civil Safety, Labor Protection, English Language, French Language

Students participated in competitions.

Participants developed innovative and practical projects considering ecological, social, and economic aspects using the Revit BIM platform.  Students demonstrated teamwork skills. Namely:

• International Architectural Competition “Rebuild UA Hackathon” (organized in Canada, Toronto) – 4 students from the Faculty of Construction and Architecture. Reconstruction of Northern Saltivka, a district in Kharkiv damaged by Russian aggression.   

• International Building Design Competition 2023 for university students worldwide (organized in Singapore). Creation of a housing complex for the reconstruction of Mariupol. 

• International Architectural Competition “Home After Crisis” (organized in Nigeria with the support of the UN Migration Agency). Creation of affordable modular housing. 

• International Student Urban Planning Competition “Irpin: The Future Horizon” (Ukraine). Development of a concept for the restoration of Irpin, creating a new model of the city of the future. Participants: 2 teams of 12 architecture students. One team reached the finals and won second place.   – students of the 4th year: Sadovyi A., Yarmish K., Petko M., Lysiak S., Kravchunovska O., Bondarenko K. Supervisors – Suvorova T., Hrimanov K. • International Student Scientific Research Competition “Black Sea Science Odesa” with the participation of Black Sea basin countries (Odesa, Ukraine).  Among 103 participating teams, they placed 43rd.

• International Student Works Competition in specialty 263 “Civil Safety” (Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University, Kremenchuk, Ukraine)    – 8 participants.  Received 3 third-degree diplomas.
