The Faculty of Distance Education of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies is a modern educational environment for those who seek to combine professional activity and obtain a higher education. Established with the aim of expanding the training of engineering personnel for leading industries, the faculty from the very beginning became a response to society’s demand: to give young specialists and employees the opportunity to receive a high-quality education without interrupting their work.
Today, the Faculty of Distance Education is an important component of the USUST educational system, providing bachelor’s and master’s degree training in the distance mode of study and combining the university’s academic traditions with flexible formats for organizing the educational process. Particular attention is given to students’ independent work, individual educational pathways, and support for those who study alongside their professional careers.
The educational process at the faculty is supported by the departments of the university’s leading educational and scientific institutes:
- Department of Philosophy of Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture.
- Department of Philosophy and Ukrainian Studies of Dnipro Institute of Infrastructure and Transport
- Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Dnipro Metallurgical Institute.
The students can gain knowledge from experienced scholars and practitioners who combine fundamental training with applied competencies.
The faculty’s mission is to create conditions for professional growth, development of scientific potential, and training of competitive specialists capable of working effectively in modern conditions. The faculty actively promotes professional development of teaching staff, advancement of research, strengthening of academic culture, and preservation of Ukrainian educational traditions.
