USUST scientific events play an important role in promoting research collaboration and academic exchange among students, researchers, and faculty members.

Scientific events are an important component of the academic life at the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies. Such events may include conferences, olympiads, competitions, seminars, workshops, training sessions, and other activities aimed at exchanging ideas, research, and expressing new concepts in various scientific fields. These events provide opportunities for scientists, professors, and young researchers to communicate, collaborate, and enhance their skills. They also contribute to the dissemination of new research and strengthen academic connections both locally and internationally.

Conferences
- V Scientific and Practical Conference of Young Scientists “Intellectual Property and Promotion of Energy Efficiency in Ukraine: Challenges and Development Prospects in the Information Society” (December 12, 2023). Purpose: To discuss the issues and directions of the development of intellectual property in the construction and architectural sector during wartime and in the context of Ukraine’s national security; issues of Ukraine’s recovery based on energy efficiency following the principles of sustainable development. Establishing contacts between young scientists, exchanging scientific results, and sharing research experience.
- Young Scientists Conference “Current Challenges for European Business: Safety, Competitiveness, and Sustainability” (December 15, 2023).
- International Scientific and Practical Conference “Innovative Technologies for Comfort Parameters, Energy Efficiency, and Ecological Sustainability in Residential Buildings Based on Smart Technologies” (February 20-21, 2024) Purpose: To popularize the results of scientific research and practical experience in the field of innovative technologies for ensuring comfort, energy efficiency, and sustainability of residential buildings using smart technologies among representatives of education, science, business, and government for the reconstruction of Ukraine. The scientific-practical conference is planned within the framework of the project “A novel decentralized edge-enabled prescriptive and proactive framework for increased energy efficiency and well-being in residential buildings,” funded by the European Union under the HORIZON2020 program (Grant № 958284 – PRECEPT).
- Scientific-Practical Conference “Promoting Energy Efficiency and Training of Specialists for the Reconstruction of Ukraine” (March 13, 2024). Purpose: To promote the results of scientific research and practical experience in the field of energy efficiency and innovative technologies for the recovery of Ukraine. Involving professional (professional and technical) education institutions and higher education institutions, as well as business and government representatives in educational and scientific-practical activities aimed at preparing specialists for Ukraine’s recovery. The event is held under the auspices of the European Year of Skills. The event is implemented within the framework of the project “Promoting Energy Efficiency and Implementing the EU Energy Efficiency Directive in Ukraine” (FEER), implemented in Ukraine by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German government. The event is carried out within the project 101082898 – UKRENERGY, co-financed by the European Union: “Innovative Master Courses Supporting the Improvement of the Energy and Carbon Footprint of the Ukrainian Building Stock”
- VI International Scientific-Practical Online Conference BRIDGE “Kyiv-Dnipro” “Project Management. Development Prospects of Project and Neuromanagement, Information Management Technologies, and Intellectual Property Rights Creation and Use, Technology Transfer” (March 21-22, 2024). Purpose: To involve interested individuals in discussing and identifying ways and methods of information, managerial, legal, cultural, technical, technological, engineering, and documentary support for the use of the results of scientific research and innovative products in enterprises, scientific, creative organizations, and educational institutions.
- Scientific-Practical Conference of Students, Postgraduates, and Young Scientists (April 24-25, 2024). Purpose: To foster creative activity among young scientists, to involve them in solving urgent problems of modern science, post-war recovery and reconstruction of Ukraine, to preserve and develop the national scientific and educational space, to establish contacts and facilitate cooperation between future colleagues.
Olympiads and Competitions
- In accordance with the Order of the MES of Ukraine dated 21.09.2023 №1143 “On holding a competitive selection of research and development projects” and with the aim of increasing the scientific level of fundamental research, the practical value of applied research, and scientific-technical (experimental) developments, the annual competitive selection of scientific projects of fundamental and applied research, scientific-technical (experimental) developments, involving young scientists from the departments and scientific divisions of the academy, will begin in 2024, funded by the state budget under CPCEL 2201040.
- Competition for the Creation of a Brand Book for the Faculty of Economics as a Tool for Developing Digital Competencies of Education Seekers
- Within the ERASMUS+ academic mobility program, a competition was held for teaching positions in the 2023/2024 academic year at the Slovak Technical University (Bratislava, Slovakia).
