Dear Colleagues, we cordially invite you to participate in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Innovation in Metallurgy and Strategical adjacent industries for energy efficient and sustainable development ”. The conference is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of establishing the Department of Electrometallurgy named after the academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Mykhailo Gasik. The purpose of the event is to disseminate the results of scientific research and practical experience in the field of innovative technologies in electrometallurgy of steel and ferroalloys, transport engineering and industry mechanical engineering, chemistry, and chemical technology for ensuring the sustainable development and digital transformation in industry according to the paradigm of the Industry 4.0. The Conference is planned as a part of the next Erasmus+ projects “Boosting the role of HEIs in the industrial transformation towards the Industry 4.0 paradigm in Georgia and Ukraine” – HEIn4.0, “European Energy Efficiency towards Mutually Reinforcing Partnership with Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Ukraine” – 3E-Partnership project, “Future Oriented Vocational Training for the Construction Sector in UA in a Partnership for Excellence” – VETpartEx. The working languages are English and Ukrainian.

Conference Proceedings Publication

The participants can submit papers for publication in Ukrainian Journal “Theory and practice in metallurgy” (a professional periodical of the Ministry of Education and Science, category B). This journal is the oldest scientific professional publication in the Ukrainian metallurgical industry (it began publication in 1928 and has been published continuously since 1997 to the present). After the peer review, selected papers will be published in a separate volume of W3S Web of Conferences (an Open Access publication series indexed in Scopus).

Registration and Publication Fees

The participation at the conference and publication papers in Ukrainian Journal “Theory and practice in metallurgy” is free. A preliminary cost to publish a paper in W3S Web of Conferences is about 5000 UAH. It is a subject to change depending on the final number of articles selected for publication and on the currency exchange rate on the date of payment.

Preparing papers for W3S Web of Conferences

Only papers written in proper academic English can be considered.

Manuscripts preparing:

• Topics of the papers should be strictly in the scope of W3S Web of Conferences journal. The literature review should cover publications in internationally recognized sources. The abstract and title should present key information about the subject and include important keywords.
• The papers should come from various international collaborations.
• At least one author of each paper should attend the Conference.
• Maximum two papers from one author can be accepted.
• The number of co-authors cannot exceed 4-5 (unless it is proved by the results of the study).
• The number of pages is unlimited, but not less than 5.
• The papers should be prepared in MS Word, 170 x 250 mm paper size, one column format (see the template attached).

The manuscripts can be accepted for publication following the blind peer review, which is organized by the Scientific Committee. The manuscripts will be checked in a plagiarism tool. W3S Web of Conferences reserves the right to reject any submissions, which don’t meet the requirements presented above.
