Dear university community,
Dear colleagues, students, and friends,
 
As Christmas and the New Year are approaching, we traditionally pause for a moment to look back and to look ahead with hope. These days are filled with a special light that we carry despite every hardship and the darkness around us.
 
The year passing has not been an easy one for any of us. Throughout 2025, our university community was tested day after day. The infrastructure of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies suffered damage as a result of missile attacks, and power outages complicated the educational process. At the same time, I can say with confidence and pride: our university has not only endured, we have become stronger. We have proven that education and science remain our unwavering front line, and that the unity of our community is a force that shapes the future of our state.
 
I am sincerely proud of our shared achievements. In 2025, our university strengthened its position as a leading educational and research center. We entered the Top 10 technical universities in Ukraine and received prestigious recognition in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026. This is an important step forward that reflects the quality of our education, research, and the global impact of our academic community. Our scholars are actively cooperating with European partners, implementing international projects, contributing to Ukraine’s defense capabilities, and advancing applied science.
Dear colleagues, thank you for your dedication, your bold ideas, and the responsibility with which you pass knowledge on to the younger generation. You are the intellectual foundation and the heart of our university, beating in rhythm with the challenges of our time.
 
Dear students, you are our motivation and our driving force. Your energy, active civic engagement, and commitment to learning are truly inspiring. Remember: you study at one of the best universities in the country, and this is not only a great honor, but also a responsibility for the future of Ukraine.
 
In 2026, we have ambitious goals ahead of us. We will continue to conduct research, teach, and develop science and education, laying a strong foundation for a new Ukraine – strong, self-sufficient, modern, and peaceful.
 
I wish you and your families a bright and joyful Christmas, inner peace, and a year of victory.
 
May faith, unity, and love for Ukraine lead us forward.
