Rector of USUST’s Address on the Occasion of Ukraine’s Unity Day

Dear students, faculty, and university personnel,

Today, we celebrate a significant national holiday – Ukraine’s Unity Day. This day symbolizes the unity of all Ukrainian lands and honors the memory of Ukrainian patriots who, for centuries, fought for the freedom and unity of the Ukrainian state.

Now more than ever, we feel the true value of this unity. We are enduring the most challenging trials in the modern history of independent Ukraine. Yet, even in these turbulent times, our people prove that the strength of the Ukrainian spirit is unwavering. This holiday emphasizes that we are one nation, and no one can divide us!

In these trying circumstances, our university community continues to advance science aimed at strengthening the country’s defense capabilities. We are training a new generation of engineering elites who will shape Ukraine’s future within the great European family of progressive, economically, and technologically developed nations. Our achievements and collective efforts have already earned the respect and support of the civilized world.

I wish us all to preserve our unity, faith, and determination. Only together can we overcome the enemy, restore what has been destroyed, and build a strong, prosperous, and independent state.
