Rector’s Address on the Third Anniversary of the Full-Scale Invasion

Dear colleagues, students, and personnel,
Three years ago, our lives were divided into “before” and “after.” On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion, changing each of us forever. These have been three years of pain, loss, heroism, and resilience. The enemy sought to destroy us, but we have only grown stronger.
Today, Ukraine continues to fight, work, and learn. Our students, faculty, and graduates defend the nation, develop new technologies, help rebuild the country, create innovative materials, and achieve victories on international sports arenas. Our university also holds its ground—we educate, work on critical projects, support the army, and engage in volunteer efforts.
I extend my gratitude to everyone fighting for our independence! To the defenders on the front lines. To the students who pursue their education despite all obstacles. To the faculty who have adapted the learning process to new realities. To the staff who keep the university running.
We all long for peace. But this peace must be just—one that has been paid for at an unimaginable price. So let us unite, work together, for our struggle is not yet over.
We have endured. We will prevail. We will rebuild Ukraine!
Eternal memory to those who gave their lives for our homeland.
Glory to Ukraine!
Sincerely,
Kostiantyn Sukhyi
Rector of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies
