Volleyball Universiade at USUST

On April 16–17, 2025, the regional stage of the All-Ukrainian Volleyball Universiade took place at the sports complex of the Scientific and Educational Institute “Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture” of USUST. Over two days of intense competition, the volleyball courts became a venue of fierce rivalry, athletic tension, and vibrant emotions.

A total of 15 teams from Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih took part in the tournament. Twenty-six matches were played — each one memorable for its passionate play and strong will to win.

Top places among women’s teams:
1st place — University of Customs and Finance
2nd place — Oles Honchar Dnipro National University
3rd place — Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs

Top places among men’s teams:
1st place — University of Customs and Finance
2nd place — Kryvyi Rih National University
3rd place — NTU “Dnipro Polytechnic”

The USUST university team competed out of the official ranking, as it included students from five different institutions, one of which is a sports university. Despite this, our players demonstrated excellent performance, a high level of preparation, and contributed to the overall strong level of the competition.

Vice President of the Regional Volleyball Federation, Andrii Serdiukov, expressed his gratitude to the USUST administration for the excellent organization: “Everything was top-notch, and the most valuable thing is the emotions of the participants, which will remain in their memories for a long time.”

The Dnipropetrovsk Universiade kicked off with a strong start — and this is just the beginning of the new sports season. Congratulations to the winners, and thanks to everyone who helped create this volleyball celebration!
