Victory of a USUST Student in Poland

On February 9, 2025, the Halowy Mityng Ogólnopolski DZLA athletics tournament took place in Wrocław, Poland, where Alona Chass, a student of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies (ME-03-22 group, SEI DMetI), claimed victory in the triple jump.

The Ukrainian athlete not only outperformed all other participants but also set a new personal record of 13.47 meters. Her best jump came in the final attempt, surpassing her previous achievements: 13.45 meters outdoors and 13.22 meters indoors.

Alona Chass was the sole representative of Ukraine at the competition, leaving behind her Polish rivals. The silver medal went to Ahniiezhka Bednarek (13.16 m), while Elena Nowak secured third place with a result of 12.40 m.

This tournament served as an important stage in the athlete’s preparation for the Polish Indoor Junior and Youth Championships, scheduled for February 14-16.
