USUST Wins Gold at the 8th Futsal Tournament of the Council of Young Scientists

On October 26, 2024, the 8th Futsal Tournament of the Public Organization “Council of Young Scientists of Dnipropetrovsk Region” was held at the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs (DSUIA) under the initiative of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Department of Education and Science and the head of the “Council of Young Scientists of Dnipropetrovsk Region.” The tournament, which has been held annually for eight consecutive years, saw enthusiastic participation from teams representing four universities (DSUIA, NTU “DP”, DNU, and USUST).

Representatives from DSUIA, the Department of Education and Science, and the Council of Young Scientists of Dnipropetrovsk Region delivered welcoming remarks at the tournament’s opening. Following the opening ceremony, the tournament commenced in a round-robin format.

The Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies was represented by a team of employees led by experienced coach Taras Romanovych Dutko, an associate professor in the Department of Physical Education and a champion of the 2018 and 2022 Paralympic Games. Dutko holds annual training sessions for the players. The team members included:

• Valerii Viacheslavovych Kassir — Captain, Course Officer of the Training Program;
• Bohdan Yuriiovych Kozak — Senior Lieutenant, Course Officer of the Training Program;
• Anton Serhiiovych Kolomiiets — Major, Head of the Morale and Psychological Support Course;
• Vitalii Serhiiovych Krasnobryzh — Student, Group UZ 2322, Faculty of Transportation Process Management;
• Dmytro Yuriiovych Likarenko — Captain, Officer in the Department of Logistics Support;
• Vitalii Anatoliiovych Miroshnyk — Senior Lecturer in the Department of Transport Infrastructure;
• Mykola Vitaliiovych Pryimak — Major, Instructor, Head of the Automotive Service, Team Captain;
• Maksym Viktorovych Yaholnyk — Associate Professor in the Department of Iron and Steel Metallurgy;
