USUST TISC joins strategic session of the Technology and Innovation Support Center Network
On 14 April 2026, the team of the Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC) of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies took part in a strategic session of TISC centers organized by the TISC Main Office of UANIPIO. The aim of the event was to strengthen the role of technology and innovation support centers in regional innovation ecosystems and to define priorities for the further development of the TISC network in Ukraine.
During the session, Anastasiia Yarmoliuk, head of the Department for the Development of the TISC Network at UANIPIO, highlighted the importance of the network’s development in terms of international cooperation with the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization). The discussion focused on available tools, educational programmes, and new opportunities for centers to support innovation and promote effective intellectual property management.
Karolina Kravchuk, deputy head of the Department for the Development of the Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC) Network, presented the strategic development plans for the TISC network for 2026.
On behalf of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies, Valentyna Babenko, Candidate of Historical Sciences and Associate Professor at the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Foreign Languages, SEI ‘PSACEA’, USUST; a representative of the university’s TIS, delivered a presentation outlining the Center’s strategic priorities for 2026. Key areas of focus include outreach activities, particularly the promotion of knowledge on the creation, protection, and commercialization of intellectual property, as well as the organization of a series of training sessions and conferences on technology transfer.
The participants of the session discussed effective approaches to supporting researchers, inventors, innovators, startups, and businesses, as well as issues related to the commercialization of research results within higher education institutions in Ukraine. Particular attention was given to strengthening cooperation among regional TISC centers and to developing coordinated approaches for the further advancement of the network.
Following the meeting, the TISC Main Office of UANIPIO as organizers emphasized that such strategic sessions contribute to better collaboration among stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem, foster the development of an intellectual property culture in the regions, and improve the overall effectiveness of Technology and Innovation Support Centers.
