USUST team participates in the third module of the professional development programme
From 27 to 30 January 2026, the training of module 3 ‘Human resource management’ was held at the Dnipro University of Technology within the second cycle of the professional development programme for academic managers. It is a national initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine implemented with the support of British Council Ukraine under the World Bank project ‘Ukraine Improving Higher Education for Results Project’ (UIHERP). The programme aims to strengthen the managerial capacity of higher education institutions and to enhance the leadership and strategic competencies of academic managers, contributing to the sustainable development and modernization of the higher education system in Ukraine.
The representatives of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies took part in the training, including:
- Professor Vladyslav Danishevskyi, director of the SEI ‘Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture’;
- Professor Olha Sverdlíkovska, director of the SEI ‘Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technologies’;
- Professor Vadym Selivorstov, dean of the faculty of Electromechanics and Electrometallurgy, SEI ‘Dnipro Metallurgical Institute’;
- Associate Professor Roman Rybalka, deputy director of the SEI ‘Dnipro Institute of Infrastructure and Transport’;
- Associate Professor Volodymyr Malovichko, dean of the faculty of Computer Technologies and Systems, SEI ‘Dnipro Institute of Infrastructure and Transport’;
- Volodymyr Malinovskyi, Director General of the USUST science park ‘Science and Technologies’.
Module 3 focused on modern approaches to human resource management in higher education institutions, ranging from HR strategies and performance evaluation systems to staff motivation, career development, inclusion, and employee well-being.
The training programme covered a range of key sessions, including the fundamentals and current trends in human resource management, performance management and evaluation, professional development and career, staff motivation and engagement, opportunities, inclusion and well-being, as well as teamwork on practical tasks and final reflections.
The training was delivered by leading experts and senior managers in the field of higher education, including Svitlana Tsymbaliuk (key module expert, Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman), Olena Khadzhynova (rector of Pryazovskyi State Technical University), Artem Pavlychenko (First Vice-Rector of Dnipro University of Technology), Artem Bardas (director of the Institute of Economics, Dnipro University of Technology), Kseniia Tiukhmenova (director of the Centre for International Cooperation, Dnipro University of Technology), Larysa Kolisnyk (head of the Doctoral and Postgraduate Studies, Dnipro University of Technology), Olha Nesterova (head of the Department of Philosophy and Pedagogy, Dnipro University of Technology), Tetiana Mamatova (head of the Internal Quality Assurance Office, Dnipro University of Technology), Kateryna Pilova (dean of the Faculty of Finance and Economics, Dnipro University of Technology) and other experts.
The participation of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies in the third module continued the university engagement in the professional development programme for academic managers. The training is aimed at introducing modern management practices, developing institutional capacity, and supporting strategic transformations in the higher education sector.
