USUST Team Joins the Academic Leadership Development Program
Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies has been selected to participate in the Academic Leadership Development Program, an initiative jointly implemented by the British Council and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine under the World Bank’s Ukraine Improving Higher Education for Results Project (UIHERP).
The selection process for the Program was highly competitive: out of 187 submitted applications, only 93 university teams from across Ukraine were chosen. USUST team secured a place in the ranking list and commenced training as part of the first cycle, which started on April 2, 2025.
USUST team includes:
- Natalia Chupryna — Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Humanities, and Law (Team Leader);
- Larysa Harmider — Head of the Department of Economics and Law;
- Olha Kuchkova — Head of the Marketing and Career Guidance Department;
- Oleksandr Savchenko — Head of the Department of Philology and Translation;
- Olena Bozhanova — Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management;
- Volodymyr Bobyl — Head of the Department of Finance, Accounting, and Psychology;
- Pavlo Fisunenko — Dean of the Faculty of Economics.
The Program aims to enhance university management practices, strengthen institutional leadership teams, and improve readiness for implementing higher education reforms. Participants engage in developing strategic vision, digital transformation, quality assurance in education, academic integrity, and other key areas.
Supported by the World Bank, the UIHERP project seeks to improve the efficiency, quality, and transparency of Ukraine’s higher education system.
USUST’s participation in this Program marks another important step toward strengthening the university’s institutional capacity to meet modern challenges and foster innovation in the academic environment.
