USUST student Roman Polianskyi wins silver at the World Rowing Championship

From September 21 to 28, 2025, the World Rowing Championship was held in Shanghai, China, bringing together the strongest athletes who represented Ukraine. A significant achievement for our University was the success of Roman Polianskyi, a 3rd-year student of group 3-FK-39 at the SEI ‘USUCT’, honoured Master of Sports of Ukraine in para-rowing, who won silver in PR1 M1x class (men’s single sculls) on September 26.

 

In the qualification race, Roman demonstrated a high level of performance with a time of 09:02.15, finishing second and securing a place in the final. In the decisive A final, he proved his high level by winning the silver medal with a time of 09:02.74.

 

This success was not only a personal achievement for the athlete, but also a significant contribution to the Ukrainian national team, once again proving the competitiveness of our rowers on the global stage.
