USUST student – a silver medallist of the regional rowing championship

On June 2-3 2025, the ‘Dnipro Stars’ Regional Rowing Championship among young people under 23 took place at the sports base of the Dnipro region. The athletes from Dnipro, Kamianske, Zelenodolsk and Samara were taking part.

 

Bohdan Vasylenko, a second-year student of 2-FK-59 group from the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies, SEI ‘USUCT’, confidently performed in the men’s lightweight boat class 1x (single) race at a distance of 2000 metres. Demonstrating high technique, endurance and willpower, Bohdan won a silver medal, losing to the leader by a narrow margin.

 

The athlete is a candidate for master of sports and he manages both his studies and an active sports schedule. His success clearly demonstrates that USUST has provided all the conditions for the development of a personality not only as a future specialist, but also as a well-rounded person.
