During the discussion, the participants focused on key areas of grant system development, support for Ukrainian researchers and innovators, and enhancing the effectiveness of project offices in higher education institutions. Particular attention was also given to opportunities for expanding the participation of the Ukrainian research community in European Union programmes.

The priorities of the European Research Area, the development of international partnerships, and the implementation of modern digital solutions, including artificial intelligence tools in research activities were also addressed.

USUST’s participation in the NCP network is regarded as a strategic step that broadens university researchers’ access to international consortia, funding opportunities, and cooperation with leading European research centres.

The ‘Horizon Europe’ programme remains one of the European Union’s principal instruments for funding research and innovation. USUST’s active integration into these processes contributes to strengthening the position of Ukrainian science within the European Research Area.
