USUST showcases innovative developments at the international ADDIT EXPO 3D 2026 Exhibition
From 26 to 28 May 2026, representatives of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies took part in the IX International Specialized Exhibition of Technologies, Equipment, and Materials for Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing, ADDIT EXPO 3D 2026. The event was held at the International Exhibition Centre in Kyiv and was one of the leading platforms for showcasing the latest achievements in additive technologies.
The exhibition brought together manufacturers of 3D printers, developers of innovative materials, researchers, and representatives of industrial enterprises and educational institutions. The participants presented advanced solutions in additive manufacturing, digital design, and the implementation of 3D printing technologies across various sectors of the economy.
The goal of the USUST delegation was to explore current trends in the development of additive technologies, become acquainted with emerging technological solutions, and strengthen cooperation between the university and representatives of the manufacturing sector. An important focus of the university’s activities at the exhibition was the presentation of its educational and research potential in training specialists for high-tech industries.
The delegation included:
- Stanislav Kovalyov, Director of the Center for Materials Design, Structural Engineering and Additive Technologies (CREATE), specialist in computer modeling and 3D printing, head of the Department of Energy Engineering at the SEI ‘USUCT’, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Materials Science;
- Oleksandr Ovchynnykov, Director of the SEI ‘Titan’, specialist in the production of metal powders for 3D printing, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor;
- Volodymyr Yefanov, Deputy Director of the SEI ‘Titan’, specialist in the production of metal powders for 3D printing, PhD;
- Oleh Kalinichenko, Senior Research Fellow of the Department of Fuel Technologies, Polymer and Printing Materials at the SEI ‘USUCT’, specialist in the development of biocompatible coatings for implants, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor;
- Yuliia Polishchuk, Director of the Scientific Center for Innovative Materials and Technologies, Senior Research Fellow at the Research Laboratory of Battery Systems and Energy Technologies at the SEI ‘USUCT’, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Inorganic Substances and Ecology.
During the exhibition, the members of the delegation introduced visitors to USUST’s educational and research programmes and showcased 3D models of technological equipment, experimental implant samples produced using FDM and SLS technologies, bioactive calcium-phosphate coatings for titanium products, functional coatings for metals, as well as Ukrainian-manufactured metal powders designed for use in additive manufacturing.
Particular attention was given to presenting USUST potential in educating future engineers, researchers, and specialists in additive technologies. Visitors to the university’s stand received information about its academic programmes, research projects, and promising areas of scientific inquiry.
Meetings with representatives of the business community focused on opportunities for developing partnerships between the university and industrial enterprises. The parties expressed interest in implementing joint research and projects development, providing practical training opportunities for students, and introducing university-developed innovations into industrial production.
The USUST team is gratefuk to ‘International Exhibition Center’ LLC and Kyiv Global Expo for organizing such a large-scale event, which fosters collaboration between education, science, and industry and contributes to the scientific and economic development of the country.
USUST participation in the international ADDIT EXPO 3D 2026 exhibition demonstrated the university’s active role in advancing modern manufacturing technologies. The research developments presented and the agreements reached with industry representatives create new opportunities for innovation implementation, training of highly competitive specialists, and strengthening of cooperation between education, science, and industry.
