USUST researchers took part in an International Conference in Bulgaria
From June 2 to 5, 2025, the ХІХth International Conference ‘Quality Strategy in Industry and Education’ took place at the Technical University of Varna (Bulgaria). The event traditionally brings together professionals, researchers, and educators from various countries.
This year, the conference gathered representatives from more than 40 higher education institutions of Ukraine and Bulgaria. The total number of participants exceeded 200 people, including those who joined the sessions online via ZOOM.
The Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies was represented at the conference by leading researchers.
The co-chairs of the organizing committee were Prof. Oleksandr Velychko, director of the SEI ‘DMI’ and corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and Prof. Tetiana Khokhlova, dean of the Nikopol faculty of USUST.
During the opening ceremony, they addressed the participants with welcoming remarks.
The conference program covered four main areas: quality in industry, quality in education, information technologies in industry and education, and sustainable development as a synergy of economy and innovation.
Prof. Tetiana Khokhlova moderated the ‘Quality in industry’ section, while the ‘Sustainable development’ section was chaired by Prof. Valerii Balakin from the Department of Theory, Technology, and Automation of Metallurgical Processes at the Nikopol faculty of USUST.
Special attention this year was given to the presentations of 42 postgraduate students and young researchers. This conference became an important platform to present and validate their scientific results and to receive professional feedback.
Based on the outcomes of the conference, a book of conference proceedings with an international ISBN is being prepared. It includes about 90 papers with a total volume of over 450 pages.
The organizing committee extends its gratitude to everyone who took part in the conference, prepared their reports, and presented them during the plenary sessions, contributing to the exchange of experience in today’s challenging conditions.
