USUST researchers participated in INSCIENCE CONFERENCE 2026

On June 13-14, 2026, the largest popular science conference in Ukraine in the field of Deep Tech – INSCIENCE CONFERENCE 2026 was held in Kyiv. The event united leading scientists, engineers, business representatives, and technology startups to discuss cutting-edge innovations and the future development of science and technology.
 
The conference featured presentations by experts from various scientific and industrial sectors, as well as a large-scale exhibition of innovative developments. Visitors were introduced to advanced AI solutions, inventions, and technologies in the fields of space tech, medtech, and climate tech. The conference was a dynamic platform where science and business showcased their achievements to a broad audience, while startup teams competed for recognition in a specialized innovation competition.
The Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies was represented by the research team implementing the project ‘Fundamental principles for the development of individualized implants for military and civilian medicine with prolonged antimicrobial activity’, supported by the National Research Foundation of Ukraine.
The USUST delegation included:
  • Stanislav Kovalov, director of the CREATE Center for Materials Design, Structural Engineering and Additive Technologies, head of the Department of Power Engineering at the SEI “USUCT’, Associate Professor of the Department of Materials Science, Candidate of  Chemical Sciences;
  • Vadym Zakiiev, Associate Professor of the Department of Aviation Engineering at the Kyiv Aviation Institute, Candidare of Technical Sciences;
  • Nadiia Kovalova, Junior Research Fellow at the Department of Fuel Technologies, Polymer and Printing Materials of the SEI’ ‘USUSCT’.
The USUST researchers presented their developments in the field of medtech and participated in the startup competition. The team demonstrated innovative technologies for creating models and prototypes of personalized implants and bone structures, as well as specialized equipment designed to investigate and characterize their surface properties.
 
Particular interest among conference participants was generated by the university’s educational and research opportunities. Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the activities of the CREATE Center for Materials Design, Structural Engineering and Additive Technologies, which has become one of the leading platforms for applied scientific research and innovation development at USUST.
 
Among the higher education institutions represented at the conference were:
  • Kyiv Aviation Institute;
  • National Technical University of Ukraine ‘Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’;
  • Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics.
INSCIENCE CONFERENCE 2026 once again demonstrated its role as an important platform for communication and collaboration between scientific community, business sector, and innovation ecosystem.
