USUST Receives Funding for the Implementation of the International GreenBUILD Project under the Erasmus+ Programme

The Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology (USUST) has become a partner in the international project Green & Energy-Efficient Building Design for UA Renovation (GreenBUILD), which has received funding under Erasmus+ / KA2 – Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE).

 

The GreenBUILD project aims to support the European Green Deal and transform the higher education system by training a new generation of specialists in construction and energy efficiency. The total project budget is up to EUR 800,000, with a duration from 2025 to 2028.

 

The project is coordinated by Dumlupinar University (Turkey), with additional partners including Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia), Lund University (Sweden), University of Parma (Italy), and Ukrainian institutions: USUST, Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, Vinnytsia National Technical University, Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University, the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering, and the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine.

 

The main goal of the project is to reduce the environmental impact of buildings, improve their energy efficiency, create healthier living spaces, and promote the use of renewable energy sources.

Key objectives include the development of interdisciplinary Master’s and PhD programs, upgrading the educational infrastructure of Ukrainian universities, and launching short-term training programs for professionals from industry, government, and the NGO sector.

 

The GreenBUILD Erasmus+ USUST project represents another important step toward the internationalization of our university and the integration of innovative European practices into Ukrainian higher education.
