USUST Ranks Among the Best in Scientific Project Efficiency Rating
In 2024, despite difficulties and reduced budget funding, Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies demonstrated impressive results in scientific project competitions. According to the “EuroOsvita” rating, USUST ranked 6th among all Ukrainian higher education institutions in terms of research participation efficiency and became the leader among universities in our region!
The rating was based on the analysis of international and domestic scientific projects, including:
- HORIZON Europe (EU)
- Erasmus+ KA2 (academic mobility)
- NRFU Competitions (National Research Foundation of Ukraine)
- State orders and grants for young scientists
Our university showed high activity in all these areas, confirming its scientific potential and competitiveness at the international level. In total, the effectiveness rating of HEIs of Ukraine in major scientific project competitions for 2024 analyzed the activities of 274 universities. Of these, 103 HEIs demonstrated effectiveness by winning at least one scientific competition, while 171 universities did not secure any projects.
The high position in the rating indicates that our university:
- actively attracts international funding for science development;
- supports young researchers;
- collaborates with European universities and research centers.
The current result is a collective achievement of the entire scientific and pedagogical personnel, students and graduate students, and all employees. Participation in scientific projects provides opportunities to develop the university, science and technology, acquire innovative equipment, create modern laboratories, and open new horizons for our students and teachers. The university plans to participate even more actively in EU programs, particularly Horizon Europe and Erasmus+, as well as expand cooperation with leading scientific institutions.
