USUST participates in the international MInT-Ukraine programme of Leibniz University Hannover
The Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies has been included in the list of higher education institutions selected for the first cohort of the international training programme ‘Micro-Credentials as an Internationalisation Tool for Ukrainian Universities (MInT-Ukraine)’ to be implemented in 2025-2029. The project is coordinated by Leibniz University Hannover (Germany) with the support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Federal Ministry of Education, Research, and Space of Germany.
MInT-Ukraine aims to support Ukrainian universities in developing modern models of international cooperation and implementing micro-credentials as a flexible tool for educational development. Over a 12-month period, participants take part in a blended learning format that includes online modules, practical assignments, work in inter-university teams, and an in-person training session in Hannover.
To participate in the programme, an inter-institute university team has been formed, headed by Professor Larysa Harmider, head of the Department of Economics and Law at the SEI ‘USUCT’.
The team includes representatives of various educational and scientific institutes, faculties, and structural units of the University:

Such a multidisciplinary team enables the University to approach the implementation of micro-credentials in a comprehensive manner, from academic content to organisational structures and international communication.
Based on the materials of the Kick-Off Meeting (14 October 2025) and the first online sessions, programme participants have already begun to explore the core thematic areas:
– modern approaches to the internationalisation of universities
• management of international educational projects
• strategic use of micro-credentials
• their differences from traditional educational programmes
• tools and standards for quality assurance and academic recognition
• introduction to the StudIP LUH learning platform
• the launch of the development of individual university projects, which each participant will implement within their own institution

Online lectures and discussions have already addressed topics such as flexible learning, digital course organisation, the engagement of students and academic staff in international initiatives, and the integration of micro-credentials into the internal educational policies of higher education institutions.
Participation in the project will enable the university to:
• introduce modern learning models – micro-credentials aligned with European standards
• integrate best practices in international education management
• strengthen USUST position as an active participant in international research and educational networks
• develop its own applied project based on the university needs
• gain new opportunities for academic mobility and partnerships

Upon completion of the programme, USUST team memberswill receive certificates from Leibniz University Hannover and earn 10 ECTS credits as part of their professional development.
