USUST Participates in a Study Visit to KU Leuven Gent

From September 9 to 14, 2024, representatives of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies took part in a study visit to KU Leuven Gent (Belgium) within the framework of the “3E-Partnership” project – “The European Energy Efficiency towards Mutually Reinforcing Partnership with Georgia, Azerbaijan and Ukraine”.

The USUST delegation included:

  • Andrii Antonov, Associate Professor at the Department of Intelligent Power Supply Systems.
  • Dmytro Bosyi, Head of the Department of Intelligent Power Supply Systems.
  • Iryna Potapchuk, Associate Professor at the Department of Intelligent Power Supply Systems.

The project aims to modernize and expand the capabilities of higher education institutions, enhance their energy resilience, and strengthen interregional cooperation. During the study visit, participants explored modern teaching methods, curriculum development, research projects, laboratory studies, and collaboration with industrial partners.

Program Highlights:

  • Presentation on KU Leuven Gent and its academic programs.
  • Discussions on energy efficiency in electrical engineering and civil engineering.
  • Introduction to research projects and the university’s laboratory facilities.
  • Collaboration with industrial companies and policy-economic experts in the energy sector.
  • Visits to Living Lab – CBCI, Fortech, and TRANSfarm in Leuven.

USUST continues to actively engage in international collaborations and expand partnerships with foreign institutions, fostering the improvement of the educational process and scientific research in energy efficiency.
