USUST Hosted the 7th International Conference “BRIDGE Kyiv–Dnipro”

On March 27–28, 2025, USUST held the 7th International Scientific and Practical Online Conference “BRIDGE Kyiv–Dnipro” on the theme: “Project Management. Prospects for the Development of Project and Neuromanagement, Management Information Technologies, Intellectual Property Rights Creation and Utilization Technologies, and Technology Transfer.” The event traditionally brought together representatives of academia, education, business, and the public sector to address current issues in project management, neuromanagement, intellectual property, and technology transfer.

This year, representatives from 32 higher education institutions and research organizations from Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, and Kazakhstan participated. A total of 43 abstracts and 160 scientific articles were submitted through the Kyiv and Dnipro platforms of the conference and are being prepared for publication in a professional journal with international DOI and ISBN indexing.

The conference organizers highlighted a critical issue of the modern innovation ecosystem — the shortage of intellectual property management specialists. As noted by participants, despite having inventions and patents, inventors often lack the support needed to promote and commercialize their developments.

One of the initiators of the conference and the development of corresponding academic training at USUST is Professor Vitalii Petrenko (Department of Intellectual Property and Project Management, SEI DMetI). In 2024, in cooperation with the Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovations (UANIPIO), 35 professionals in this field were trained.

Among the participants was Roman Pichko, a graduate from the department’s early years, who now represents the State Institution “Dobrov Institute for Scientific and Technological Potential and Science History Studies of the National Academy of Law Sciences of Ukraine” — an example of how USUST’s intellectual school fosters professionals capable of influencing national science and innovation development.

The “BRIDGE Kyiv–Dnipro” conference has already become a significant annual event, reflecting the scientific community’s commitment not only to discussing current challenges but also to offering practical solutions and advancing new areas of cooperation.
