USUST hosted the 16th All-Ukrainian conference ‘Young Scientists: from theory to practice’

On March 18, 2026, the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies hosted the 16th All-Ukrainian Conference of Young Scientists ‘Young Scientists 2026: from theory to practice’. The event was held online according to the plan of scientific and practical conferences for 2026 approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The conference traditionally united young researchers from different regions of Ukraine. This year, the organizing committee received 214 submissions, including research papers that were approved for publication and included in the conference proceedings. After the electronic edition is assigned an international ISBN, it will be published on the organizers’ webpage and in the repository of the university’s scientific library.

In total, around 500 authors took part in the conference, including more than 350 young researchers – students of pre-higher and higher education institutions, PhD students, and early-career scientists. About one third of the participants represented USUST structural units, including its educational and scientific institutes and colleges, while the others were from 56 higher education institutions, research institutions, and organizations from various regions of Ukraine.

The conference covered a wide range of relevant topics – from engineering, IT, and advanced technologies to economics, environmental studies, and the humanities and social sciences. This interdisciplinary approach gave participants an opportunity to present the results of their research, exchange ideas, and highlight the practical aspects of applying their work.

Once again, the conference proved the strong interest of young scholars in research development and highlighted the importance of fostering an open academic environment that supports professional growth and collaboration.
