USUST held online meeting on students’ career prospects
On 2 June 2026, USUST held an online meeting dedicated to professional training and students’ career prospects. The event was organised at the initiative of the Rector, Professor Kostiantyn Sukhyi, Doctor of Technical Sciences, with representatives of the ‘Orlivshchyna Resort Sanatorium’, one of the leading rehabilitation and wellness centres in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
The organisation of the event was supported by the sanatorium’s management and Lina Sokolova, deputy director of the SEI ‘PSAPCS’, head of the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Health of the SEI ‘USUCT’, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor.
More than 110 participants joined the meeting, including students and graduates of the specialties I7 ‘Therapy and Rehabilitation’ and A7 ‘Physical Culture and Sports’, representatives of the administration of the SEI ‘USUCT’ and ‘PSAPCS’, faculty deans, heads of departments, and academic staff of the university.
During the event, the participants received detailed information about the sanatorium’s activities, the rehabilitation services, contemporary approaches to physical therapy and occupational therapy, and the principles of multidisciplinary teams that ensure comprehensive patient recovery.
Particular attention was given to employment opportunities for young specialists. Representatives of the employer emphasised the growing demand for professionals in physical therapy and rehabilitation. In this context, students and graduates were presented with opportunities for practical training, internships, and further employment at the ‘Orlivshchyna Resort Sanatorium’.
A lively discussion focused on the adaptation of young specialists and university graduates to professional practice, the requirements of modern labour market, and competencies currently expected by employers.
USUST’s cooperation with leading regional employers creates additional opportunities for the professional development and employment of students and graduates. It also strengthens partnerships between the university and the professional community, helps improve the practical component of student training, and ensures an effective connection between education and future professional activity.
