USUST Held Off-Campus Open Days in Kamianske

The Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies continues its new approach to engaging prospective students—off-campus Open Days. On March 26–27, 2025, the university team visited Kamianske to personally connect with future applicants, introduce them to educational opportunities, and answer all their important questions.

The two-day program included meetings at two locations:

  • March 26 – Center for Extracurricular Activities and Children’s Creativity. The large auditorium, with a capacity of 400 seats, was completely filled.
  • March 27 – Lyceum № 39 in the Left Bank district. Here, dozens of young people explored educational prospects and considered their future careers.

The university delegation was led by Professor Olha Ryzhova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Communications. Serhii Baidak, Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee, provided insights into the admission process, while representatives from all five USUST institutes presented their educational programs:

  • Metallurgical Institute (DMetI)
  • Chemical Technology Institute (USUCT)
  • Construction and Architecture Institute (PSACEA)
  • Infrastructure and Transport Institute (DIIT)
  • Physical Culture and Sports Institute (PDAFKiS)

Additionally, applicants learned about a new sixth institution within the university — the SEI “Aerospace Institute”.

Prospective students were most interested in:

  • How to secure a state-funded place or a scholarship
  • New academic programs introduced this year
  • Online application procedures
  • Additional points and bonuses available for applicants
  • Unique features of studying at different institutes

Student life beyond academics

The event concluded with a performance by the university’s “League of Laughter” student comedy team, led by Stas Radzymovskyi. Their vibrant humor and genuine emotions helped strengthen the connection with future students, proving that studying at USUST is not just about acquiring knowledge but also about active student life, new friendships, creativity, and strong community support.
