USUST expands cooperation with ‘TAS’ Financial and Industrial Group

On April 22, 2026, representatives of the ‘TAS’ Financial and Industrial Group visited the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies. The delegation included Director of Human Capital Olena Ipatova and Talent Aquisition and Development Manager Lesia Savintseva.
 
‘TAS’ Group is one of Ukraine’s leading business conglomerates, integrating assets in financial, industrial, and agricultural sectors. The Group actively invests in innovation, advanced technologies, and human capital development. A key priority of its activity is the support of education and training of highly qualified specialists.
 
During the meeting with the Rector of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies, Professor Kostiantyn Sukhyi, and the directors of educational and scientific institutes, the parties explored opportunities to deepen their cooperation. The discussion centered on a mutually beneficial model of engagement: the university gains access to contemporary industry practices, additional resources, and expanded internship opportunities for students, while the business sector benefits from well-trained professionals, innovative developments, and a strengthened HR brand.
 
Olena Ipatova announced plans to introduce a scholarship program for top-performing students in technical disciplines. The participants also considered the establishment of joint research laboratories equipped with modern technology to support applied research and development.

Vice-Rector for Research at the university, Professor Yurii Proidak, draw attention to the prospects of providing outstanding students with opportunities to study abroad and potential employment at  the enterprises of the ‘TAS’ Financial and Industrial Group.

During the visit, the guests were introduced to the scientific and technological potential of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies. They visited the testing center of the Department of Railway Cars and Carriage Facilities, the brewing laboratory, the Center for Innovative Technologies in Printing Production, and the laboratories of the Department of Energy with modern equipment, including 3D printers used for manufacturing implants.

The delegation was also presented with the high-temperature firing laboratory, where new ceramic and glass-crystalline materials are developed, as well as the university’s construction complex, featuring a 3D construction printer and a 3D scanner in operation. Particular interest was drawn to the Energy Innovation Hub, which focuses on developing advanced solutions in the field of construction.
 
Following the visit, the representatives of the ‘TAS’ Financial and Industrial Group noted the high level of the university’s research and development and emphasized its strong potential for further collaboration. The university and its partners plan to sign a memorandum of cooperation in the near future, formalize the provisions of the scholarship program, and implement a range of joint initiatives.
 
Cooperation between the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies and the ‘TAS’ Group opens up new opportunities for both students and researchers, while strengthening the connection between higher education and the real sector of the economy.
