USUST Council on Student Development and Humanitarian Policy discussed key initiatives

On March 26, 2025, a meeting of the USUST Council on Social and Humanitarian Policy and Student Development was held in a hybrid format – offline at the Council’s venue at the  SEI ‘Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture’ and online via Zoom.
The agenda included important issues related to the university’s social and humanitarian policy and student development, in particular:
  1. discussion of the ‘Regulations on USUST museums’;
  2. discussion of the ‘Regulations on the USUST scientific and technical library’;
  3. organizational and methodological preparation for the interuniversity scientific and practical conference ‘Educating the Technical Elite in the Context of Contemporary Challenges’;
  4. discussion of the procedure for nominating students to the ‘USUST Gallery of Success’ (the virtual honor board) on the university’s website.
The meeting was moderated by the head of the USUST Council on Social and Humanitarian Policy and Student Development, Vice-Rector for Academic, Student and Humanitarian Affairs, Doctor of Science in Public Administration, Professor Halyna Yevsieieva.
 
The drafts of  ‘Regulations on the USUST scientific and technical library’ and ‘Regulations on USUST museums’ were presented by Tetiana Kolesnykova, director of USUST libraries, and Olena Hychka, head of the museum of the SEI ‘PSACEA’. It was decided to publish the proposed regulations on the USUST website for public discussion.
Regarding the organizational and methodological preparation for the interuniversity scientific and practical conference ‘Educating the Technical Elite in the Context of Contemporary Challenges’, Professor Halyna Yevsieieva emphasized the importance of this conference and called on representatives of all educational and scientific institutes to encourage future participants, including group mentors and members of the university’s academic staff.
 
During the discussion of the ‘Procedure for nominating students to the USUST Gallery of Success’, presented by Valentyna Babenko, and head of the Student Development Department, Roman Rybalko, Deputy Director of the  SEI ‘DIIT’, made several comments and offered valuable suggestions on this important issue – the procedure for recognizing the university’s most successful students.
