USUST contributed to the establishment of a separate division of the “UkrYAT” NGO.

On August 18, 2025, a decision to establish a separate division of the public organization “Ukrainian Nuclear Society” was made at an inaugural meeting held in Dnipro.

 

11 representatives of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies (USUST) attended the meeting. Vitalii Zahilskyi, PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Engineering Geology and Geotechnics at the SEI ‘ PSACEA’, USUST  was elected  as the head of this new branch. Vladyslav Kovba, PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the same department became his deputy. This selection highlights the key role of the University in developing cooperation with professional communities in the field of energy.

 

The establishment of the division in Dnipro opens up new opportunities to implement joint research and educational projects, to strengthen cooperation with enterprises of nuclear industry, and to consolidate the University’s position as a reliable partner in the development of energy and security.
