USUST celebrated the 20th anniversary of World Vyshyvanka Day
During the lectures, the attention was given to the history of the Ukrainian vyshyvanka as a unique cultural phenomenon, its symbolism, regional distinctions, and its role in shaping national consciousness. Particular emphasis was placed on the significance of the vyshyvanka in contemporary society, especially in the context of Ukraine’s struggle for independence and the preservation of its cultural identity.
The lectures held at USUST on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Vyshyvanka Day became an important opportunity for students and educators to gain a deeper understanding of the vyshyvanka as a symbol of Ukrainian identity, spiritual heritage, and national resilience.
