USUST Boxers Win Medals at the Ukrainian Championship

From March 9 to 16, 2025, the Ukrainian Boxing Championship (Elite) for men and women took place in Odesa. The tournament gathered 204 participants—69 women and 135 men—who competed for 25 sets of awards and spots on the national team. For the first time in history, the Ukrainian Boxing Federation established a championship prize fund of 1 million UAH.

Athletes from the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies showcased outstanding performance and returned with medals.

  • Anastasiia Chernokolenko – Lecturer at the Department of Boxing, Wrestling, and Weightlifting (SEI PDAFKiS), International Master of Sports of Ukraine, and bronze medalist of the 2022 European Championship – became the Ukrainian champion in the 70 kg weight category.
  • Hlib Naddal – 1st-year student (group FKS/017-24-2B, SEI PDAFKiS) – won bronze in the 75 kg weight category and fulfilled the qualification standard for the Master of Sports of Ukraine in boxing.
  • Viktoriia Shcherbyna – 2nd-year student (group FKS/017-23-2B, SEI PDAFKiS) – claimed bronze in the 81 kg weight category.
