The world of science and technology in a career guidance quest at USUST
During February and March 2026, the representatives of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies held a series of career guidance events for students from lyceums of Dnipro. High school students from Lyceums No. 97, 7, 15, 139, 120, 91, 42, 134, 54, and 136, as well as from Samarskyi and Slobozhanskyi Lyceums, took part in the events.
The meetings were held in an unusual interactive format as a career guidance quest. This approach allowed pupils not only to learn about the university’s educational opportunities, but also to immerse themselves in the world of modern science through practical and game-based activities.
The participants completed themed missions, solved logical and scientific tasks, and explored current fields of study ranging from chemical and food technologies, pharmacy, and ecology to metallurgy, logistics, materials science, management, and economics. Throughout the quest, they learned more how modern technologies work and which professions are shaping the innovative development of society.
The interactive format gave pupils an opportunity to feel like researchers, engineers, and technologists, and helped them better understand their own professional interests. The most active participants received gifts and prizes from the university, making the event even more dynamic and motivating.
The career guidance initiatives of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies are aimed at promoting science and engineering specialties among young people and helping prospective applicants make informed decisions about their educational paths. The events like these give pupils a chance to become more familiar with the university environment and discover the opportunities for study and professional growth.
