The Ukrainian University of Science and Technologies at the Student Spring Festival 2025 and the Mayor’s Scholarships

On May 30, 2025 the team of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies took part in the annual inter-university festival ‘Student Spring 2025’, which traditionally brings together the most talented young people from higher educational institutions of Dnipro. This year the creative event took place on the main stage of the Palace of Youth and brought together more than 400 students from more than ten universities of the city.

The programme of the festival included vocal and choreographic performances, theatre miniatures, stand-up, and original performances that demonstrated not only artistry but also the powerful energy, responsibility, and national consciousness of young generation. The performance of our team emboded creativity, inspiration and unity. The team has taken the honourable fourth place among the participants of the contest.

For the first time, the creative programme was prepared independently by USUST students, from writing the concept to choosing stage numbers and staging. All five educational and research institutes of our university joined in to present a single university performance.

The festival was held not only as a creative competition, but also as a manifestation of the civic position of young people. Following the tradition of recent years, 75% of the prize fund will be donated by the winners to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the funds raised this year will be used to purchase electronic warfare equipment.

The awarding of personalised scholarships named after the Mayor Oleksandr Pol, which took place during the festival, was also good news for our university community. This year the scholarships were awarded to such USUST students as Sofiia Romaniukha, Kateryna Tryhub, Veli Bekirov for their active participation in the university life, volunteer activities, academic achievements and implementation of social initiatives.
