The student works ‘The Coat of Arms of My Country” are on display at USUST

At the museum of history of the SEI ‘Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture’,  an exhibition ‘The Coat of Arms of My Country” has opened. It is a project that has united students’ creativity and a contemporary interpretation of one of Ukraine’s key national symbols.

The exhibition is the result of a competition announced in October and completed in February 2026. The works are now displayed on the museum’s exhibition stand, where every visitor can see how young people interpret the Tryzub in today’s realities.
The exhibition features works by students of ‘Architecture and Urban Planning’, ‘Environmental Design’, and ‘Fine Arts, Decorative Arts, Restoration’. The participants included first-, second-, and third-year students, and the exhibition includes the best works selected by the teachers of the Department of Fundamentals of Architecture, Synthesis of Arts, and Cultural Heritage.

The Tryzub appears in the works, in many different forms: restrained and graphic, emotional and expressive, architecturally precise or richly decorative. Each work represents the artist’s own vision of the national symbol, conveyed through form, line, rhythm, and composition.
The exhibition is especially valuable because of the sincerity of the young authors, who do not simply reproduce familiar images, but seek their own approaches to interpreting Ukrainian identity.

Some of the works were also presented in a virtual format, and all participants in the project received personalized electronic certificates.

The original works can be seen at the museum of history of the SEI ‘PSACEA’ a space where the modern student perspective is combined with history, culture, and values of Ukrainian society.
