Success to the fullest: the story of Danylo Sukhorukov
Once just a meeting can define the choice of the future. That’s what happened to Danylo Sukhorukov, a student of the Faculty of Computer Technologies and Systems at the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies.
His meeting with the university began from a visiting session held by Volodymyr Malovichko, dean of the faculty of Computer Technologies and Systems, with students of the Industrial College in Kamianske. According to Nataliia Malovichko, lecturer at the department of Electronics and Microcircuitry, after the event Danylo wrote on Instagram ‘I really want to study at your department’.
Danylo’s interest in computer technology appeared at an early age.
The first computer was brought home by his father, and it quickly became Danylo’s favourite ‘toy’.
He taught how to install and optimise operating systems, replace components, and assemble computers tailored to the needs of his friends – all of this had nothing to do with gaming. ‘I’ve never been a gamer’, says Danylo. ‘For me, the computer is a tool that brings both comfort and opportunities for future earnings’.

Despite his love for technology, Danylo breaks the stereotype of a typical ‘IT guy’ – thin and with glasses. He has an active lifestyle: he has trained in crossfit and bodybuilding, spent four years doing street workouts, and even took an interest in boxing. ‘I even have a video of me doing a flip on the bars’, Danylo smiles. ‘My friends and I trained together, often inviting newcomers. It was both sport and friendship at the same time’.
In his studies, Danylo has always strived for excellence. He graduated from college without ‘satisfactory’ grades, and his education at USUST became a natural next step. ‘When the dean talked about the programme Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies and Robotics, I realised that’s exactly what I want’, Danylo recalls. ‘I’ve understood that computers will always be essential like food, clothing, or medicine. Anyone who works confidently with computers will always have a stable job and freedom to choose their own path’.
His goal is both simple and ambitious – to achieve financial freedom while doing what he loves.
Even today, he is shaping his own vision of how modern technologies can be used to optimise the educational process and better prepare futute professionals.
