Spring Festival “Sakura Fest 2025” at USUST

On April 26, 2025, the Sakura Alley of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies was in full bloom — not only with the scent of spring but also with the energy of new dreams. It was here that the grand “Sakura Fest 2025” took place, becoming one of the brightest events of the year for USUST’s prospective students.

“Your spring begins here — in the space of knowledge, opportunities, and great achievements!” greeted the university’s rector, Professor Kostiantyn Mykhailovych Sukhyi, addressing the guests. “USUST is a place where everyone can find their own path to success, unlock their potential, and help change the world for the better.”

The festival brought together presentations from six Scientific and Educational Institutes, the Admission Office, the Military Department, and the PSACEA Lyceum. Prospective students explored different academic programs, interacted with faculty and students, and experienced interactive exhibits offering a glimpse into future professions.

Specially themed areas were created for guests, including:

• The Information and Education Zone “Unlimited Possibilities with USUST!” introduced the structure of academic life at the university and opportunities for personal development.

• Photo zone “Grow at once with USUST” made it possible to take unforgettable photos with student certificates and transfers of the future in the format of traditional Japanese “Omikudze”.
• Face painting “Create a bright mood with USUST” allowing for a slightly Japanese flavor through creative paintings.
• The Tea Ceremony and the Polish Kitchen treated the participants to fresh Japanese tea, savory herbs and the unspoiled atmosphere of the distilled bath.
• Lounge area “Spring Harmony” among the blossoming cherry blossoms for photographing moments before the end.
• The art exhibition “Know the world, enjoy the mysticism at once with USUST” featured paintings by a famous Chinese artist, professor Zhang Biyun, follows the genre of traditional Chinese landscape painting “Birds and Birds” from the Guohua technique. These sophisticated robots were donated to USUST on the hour official visit to China.

• Sports relay race brought together student teams from all institutes and brought together a team of participants at the fire pits at the stadium. The first was achieved by the team of the SEI “Dnipro Metallurgical Institute”. In the other and third places, the teams of the SEI “Dnipro State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports” and the SEI “Dniprovian Institute of Infrastructure and Transport” are obvious.
