Solemn Award Ceremony for the Winners of Language Contests

On February 27, 2025, Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies held a solemn award ceremony to honor the winners of the regional stages of international language contests. Throughout January 2025, students actively participated in and won prizes in the regional stages of language competitions hosted by the Dnipro Academy of Continuing Education:

  • January 10 – in the regional stage of the 15th International Taras Shevchenko Language and Literature Competition for School and University Students
  • January 18 – in the regional stage of the 25th International Petro Yatsyk Ukrainian Language Competition

According to the orders of the Department of Education and Science of the Regional State Administration:

  • Order № 12/0/212-25 dated January 16, 2025, “On the results of the regional stage and participation in the final stage of the 15th International Taras Shevchenko Language and Literature Competition for School and University Students in the 2024/2025 academic year”
  • Order № 37/0/212-25 dated January 31, 2025, “On the results of the regional stage of the 25th International Petro Yatsyk Ukrainian Language Competition in the 2024/2025 academic year”

As well as the order of the Rector of USUST, the following contest winners were awarded certificates of appreciation:

  • Kira Andriivna Karmalytska, student of group UA24-11, SEI DIIT – 1st place in the regional stage of the 15th International Taras Shevchenko Language and Literature Competition among students of non-humanities majors.
  • Oksana Valeriivna Ivanenko, student of group 5-KHDK-40, SEI USUCT – 3rd place in the regional stage of the 15th International Taras Shevchenko Language and Literature Competition among students of non-humanities majors.
  • Ariana Mykolaivna Shevchenko, student of group ARKH-23-1, SEI PSACEA – 3rd place in the regional stage of the 25th International Petro Yatsyk Ukrainian Language Competition.

Additionally, appreciation was extended to the faculty members who prepared the students—winners of the regional stages:

  • Larysa Heorhiivna Bohuslavska, Associate Professor at the Department of Ukrainian Studies, Documentation, and Information Activities, SEI PSACEA.
  • Liudmyla Mykolaivna Kulakevych, Professor at the Department of Philology and Translation, SEI USUCT.
  • Svitlana Petrivna Lahdan, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Philosophy and Ukrainian Studies, SEI DIIT.

Rector of USUST, Kostiantyn Sukhyi, wished the students and their mentors new victories and successful competitions ahead!
