Shevchenko’s Code of Freedom UA: The Uprising of Truth

On the eve of Shevchenko Days, a festive gathering was traditionally organized in the creative format of the concert studio “Let’s Unite!”, bringing together talented youth from the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies.

The event, titled “Shevchenko’s Code of Freedom UA: The Uprising of Truth”, united inspired students of SEI PSACEA and young representatives of the Scientific Lyceum of Digital Technologies and Design of SEI PSACEA, who actively participated in the celebration by preparing dynamic performances. The event was organized and moderated by Larysa Bohuslavska, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Studies, Documentation, and Information Activities of SEI PSACEA, Head of the Section of the National Society “Prosvita” named after Taras Shevchenko, and Head of the scientific club “The Space of the Word”, alongside Larysa Kotova, Artistic Director of the Department of Student Educational Work at USUST.

The concert became a true tribute to the memory of the great Kobzar. Taras Shevchenko’s words remain a guardian of truth, love, and honor, as the poet’s unyielding spirit continues to inspire all those whose hearts burn with an unwavering love for their homeland. For Ukrainians, Taras Shevchenko serves as an example of how the fundamental codes of a nation’s DNA can be infused with incredible life-affirming energy—one that, even in the most challenging times, always resonates with our country’s indomitable drive for freedom and independence.

This event once again confirmed that Taras Shevchenko’s creative legacy remains relevant to modern youth, inspiring creativity and patriotism while fostering the unity of different generations around national values.

The concert recording will be broadcast during Shevchenko Commemoration Week for students of all scientific and educational institutes of USUST during their mentoring sessions.

Thematic events dedicated to Shevchenko Days were also held at the locations of USUST educational and scientific institutes. Thus, at the Ukrainian State University of Chemistry and Technology, students held a flash mob “Let’s Unite in the Word of the Kobzar”, reminding us of the power of his word and the relevance of creativity.
