Second lecture of the ‘Transformational Leadership’ series held at USUST

On April 24, 2026, the second lecture in the guest lecture series ‘Transformational Leadership: from student’s desk to a manger’ took place at the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies. The event was organized by the Department of Economics, Management and Entrepreneurship of the SEI ‘PSACEA’ to support students’ professional and personal development.
 
The guest speaker was Oksana Vovchenko, Candidate of Technical Sciences, PhD in Project Management, organizational development, leadership, and HR management consultant, as well as a business trainer and coach. She has over 25 years of managerial experience, including positions of HR director and director of organizational development in leading Ukrainian companies and holdings.
 
Oksana Vovchenko is also a visiting lecturer at MIM-Kyiv Business School and the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, an author of professional publications, and the creator of her own transformational program ‘World of knowledge’.

Participants of the lecture explored practical approaches to job search, preparing a competitive resume, passing a job interview, and adapting to a new workplace. Particular attention was paid to the use of modern tools, including the capabilities of artificial intelligence for employment preparation.

Active participants received a “Career Box”, which included interview preparation checklists, a selection of AI prompts, presentation materials from the lecture, and offers from employers.

The event brought together students and faculty not only from SEI PSACEA but also from other institutes of USUST, as well as representatives of higher education institutions from Kyiv. The lecture was held with a high level of audience engagement and received positive feedback from participants, who noted the practical value of the knowledge gained and the motivational nature of the speaker’s presentation.

The next, third lecture of the series is scheduled for May 2026. Its topic is “How to Build Career Growth and Be Happy”. The event will be useful for senior students, young professionals, as well as faculty and staff seeking professional development.

The guest lecture series has become an effective practice for integrating external expertise into the educational process of SEI PSACEA and has received wide recognition among the student and academic community.
