Scientific Seminar by Professor Yurii Hohotsa at USUST

The Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies invites you to an open scientific seminar featuring world-renowned scientist Professor Yurii Hohotsa, which will be held online on May 14, 2025, at 14:00 in the conference hall of the Scientific and Educational Institute “Dnipro Metallurgical Institute” (DMetI).

Presentation topic:
“Two-Dimensional MXenes as Nanoscale Building Blocks for Future Materials and Devices”
The presentation will be delivered in Ukrainian.

MXenes are a new class of two-dimensional materials offering unprecedented potential in optoelectronics, energy storage, electromagnetic shielding, biomedicine, and many other fields. Their unique electronic, mechanical, and chemical properties are already enabling them to outperform traditional materials across multiple industries.

Professor Yurii Hohotsa is one of the world’s most cited scientists, Director of the A.J. Drexel Nanomaterials Institute (USA), a member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, an honorary doctor of more than 15 universities, and a leading researcher in the field of 2D materials.
