Partnership in Education and Science with Technical University of Moldova
On November 26, 2024, a delegation from the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies, led by the rector, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Kostiantyn Sukhyi, visited Technical University of Moldova (TUM). The delegation also included Vice-Rector for Scientific Work, Professor Yurii Proidak, and Associate Professor Iryna Sukha. The purpose of the visit was to discuss prospects for expanding cooperation between the two leading educational and scientific institutions.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by TUM Vice-Rector for Research and Doctoral Programs, Professor Vasile Tronciu. During the meeting, the USUST representatives were introduced to the potential of TUM, which boasts 11 faculties, 3 research institutes, and 12 centers of excellence.
In his address, USUST Rector Kostiantyn Sukhyi highlighted the importance of building strategic partnerships with Moldovan colleagues, emphasizing the opportunities such collaborations offer for joint projects in science, innovation, and education.
The meeting focused on specific areas of cooperation, including:
- Joint research projects and innovative initiatives;
- Exchange programs for students, faculty, and experience sharing;
- Establishing partnerships between universities and industry representatives.
Particular attention was given to participation in international programs aimed at implementing modern educational approaches and developing innovative technologies.
This visit marked a new step in strengthening friendly ties between Ukraine and Moldova, reaffirming USUST and TUM’s commitment to the joint advancement of science, education, and innovation.
