Meeting of the Academic Council of USUST (December 2024)

On December 26, the final meeting of the Academic Council of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies (USUST) for 2024 took place. This event was significant for the university community as it summarized the year’s achievements and outlined plans for 2025.

The pre-holiday meeting began with the ceremonial presentation of awards, certificates, and attestations for academic titles to university faculty and researchers. The honorary role of presenting these awards was performed by the Rector of USUST, Professor Kostiantyn Sukhyi.

Certificates for academic titles were awarded to:

  • Marharyta Ivanivna Skyba, Professor of the Department of Technology of Inorganic Substances and Ecology, SEI USUCT.
  • Viktoriia Vitaliivna Biliaieva, Professor of the Department of Energy Systems and Energy Management, SEI DMetI.
  • Maryna Viacheslavivna Bordun, Associate Professor of the Department of Reinforced Concrete and Stone Structures, SEI PSACEA.
  • Oleksandr Mykhailovych Hrishyn, Doctor of Sciences in the field of Metallurgy of Ferrous, Non-Ferrous Metals, and Special Alloys.

Professor Marharyta Ivanivna Skyba was also honored with the medal “Talent, Inspiration, Labor” by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Acknowledgments from the city council of Dnipro for significant contributions to education development were presented to:

  • Oleksii Leonidovych Tiutkin, Professor of the Department of Transport Infrastructure, SEI DIIT.
  • Volodymyr Volodymyrovych Bobyl, Professor of the Department of Finance, Accounting, and Psychology, SEI DIIT.
  • Anna Vadymivna Hlushchenko, Assistant Professor of the Department of Economic Theory and International Economic Relations, SEI PSACEA.
  • Vitalii Anatoliiovych Zahilskyi, Associate Professor of the Department of Engineering Geology and Geotechnics, SEI PSACEA.
  • Oleksii Hennadiiovych Karasov, Associate Professor of the Department of Construction and Theoretical Mechanics and Strength of Materials, SEI PSACEA.
  • Hanna Yevhenivna Riabyk, Associate Professor of the Department of Entrepreneurship, Production Organization, and Theoretical and Applied Economics, SEI USUCT.
  • Liudmyla Viktorivna Ursuliak, Associate Professor of the Department of Technical Mechanics, SEI DIIT.

Certificates and commendations from the Department of Education and Science were awarded to:

  • Vladyslav Mykolaiovych Voloshko, Assistant Professor of the Department of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Gas Supply, SEI PSACEA.
  • Olha Oleksandrivna Slavinska, Associate Professor of the Department of Design and Reconstruction of the Architectural Environment, SEI PSACEA.

Throughout the year, many university personnel members received certificates and commendations at various levels for their achievements in teaching and research activities. This reaffirms the high standards of education and science upheld by USUST.
