Meeting Between USUST Administration and the Ukrainian Athletic Federation

On September 12 and 13, 2024, the administration of the Ukrainian Athletic Federation (UAF), headed by Acting President Olha Saladukha, Vice President Viktor Hrinyuk, and Secretary General Oleksii Kasyanov, visited Dnipro. During their two-day visit, they toured the “Dnipro Athletics” and “Olympic Reserves” stadiums, met with the administration of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies (USUST), and communicated with Olympians and Paralympians who represented Ukraine at the Paris Games.

 

During meetings with Rector Kostiantyn Sukhyi and Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and Innovation in Physical Education and Sports Viktor Savchenko, discussions focused on improving training conditions, modernizing sports infrastructure, and supporting local sports. Key areas of cooperation were identified, and solutions to the challenges in the development of athletics and sports infrastructure at the university were outlined. The UAF leadership confirmed their readiness to assist in the development of athletics in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

 

The UAF leaders, along with the Head of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine (NOC) in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Mykhailo Koshliak, and representatives of the regional sports community, participated in an award ceremony honoring the region’s top athletes and coaches, including those from our university. Olha Saladukha expressed confidence that a new generation of athletes who will bring fame to the Dnipropetrovsk region and all of Ukraine will soon emerge on the competition fields!
