Master’s Diploma Awarding Ceremony to the Graduates of the SEI ‘PSAPCS’ USUST
On February 6, 2026, a diploma awarding ceremony was held at the SEI ‘Prydniprovska State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports’ of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies. The graduates from the faculties of Physical Culture and Sports and Physical Education received their diplomas. The degrees were awarded in the specialties 017 Physical Culture and Sports and 014 Secondary Education (Physical Culture).
The event was attended by the graduates, the leadership of the University and the Institute, academic staff, as well as the families and friends of the Master’s graduates.
Welcoming addresses were given by the director of the SEI ‘PSAPCS’, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Viktor Savchenko, and the deans of the faculties – Candidate of Sciences in Physical Education and Sports, Professor Nina Dolbysheva, and Candidate of Sciences in Physical Education and Sports, Associate Professor Oleksandr Solovey. They wished young professionals continued professional growth, personal fulfilment, and meaningful contributions to the development of physical culture and sports in Ukraine.
On behalf of all graduates, Alina Slimak, master’s student, gave a speech expressing sincere gratitude to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for making it possible to study, grow, and build their future: ‘Thanks to our military we have future and exist today as we are’! She also expressed her gratitude to the rector of the University, Kostiantyn Mykhailovych SUKHYI, the director of the academy, Viktor Hryhorovych SAVCHENKO, the Deputy Directors Nataliia Vasylivna MOSKALENKO and Serhii Mykolaiovych AFANASIEV, the deans of faculties, academic staff, and master’s thesis supervisors for their knowledge, high standards, support, and belief in the modern student generation.
Alina emphasized that during their studies students combined physical endurance with intellectual effort, as physical culture and sports are not only about body, but also about character, discipline, and strength of spirit.
The event featured outstanding speeches by:
- Alina BAKALA – an honours graduate with a strong national and patriotic awareness, head and coach of the “Khors” Cossack training school club in Pavlohrad;
- Alina SLIMAK – a mother and the wife of a serviceman defending the country, founder and head coach of the “VIRA” rhythmic gymnastics academy in Dnipro;
- Daniela CHEBATAROVA – a third-year student, international master of sports of Ukraine in rhythmic gymnastics, multiple champion and prize-winner of national, European, and international competitions, as well as a silver medalist at the 2025 World Universiade.
The University is proud of its graduates, who demonstrate not only high professional competence, but also strength of character, civic responsibility, and unwavering dedication to sport.
