Lecture Series by Professor Andzhei Harbach
On May 5, 7, and 8, 2025, Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies hosted a series of online lectures titled “Modern Approaches to Concrete Materials Engineering”, delivered by Professor Andzhei Harbach — a leading specialist in polymer-cement composites and Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology.
Professor Harbach is a recognized expert in the field of construction materials, President of the International Congress on Polymers in Concrete (ICPIC), and author of over 240 scientific publications. His research focuses on polymer concrete composites, repair materials, microstructural analysis, and non-destructive quality control of concrete structures.
Over the course of three lecture days, Professor Harbach addressed key topics, including:
- Modern Approaches to Concrete Composites
- Concrete Surface Engineering
- Nondestructive Testing of Concrete Structures
The lectures were organized as part of the university’s implementation of an EU-funded Erasmus+ KA2 Capacity Building in Higher Education project titled “Bridging the gap between university and industry: Master Curricular Supporting the Development of Green Jobs and Digital Skills in the Ukrainian Building Sector”.
Around one hundred university lecturers from the SEI PSACEA, along with industry professionals, gained valuable insights — highly relevant in today’s context and essential for Ukraine’s future post-war infrastructure recovery.
