General Assembly of the USUST Administration with First-Year Postgraduate Students
On 30th September 2024, a general assembly was held between the administration of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies (USUST) and the first-year postgraduate students. The event was an important milestone for the new researchers beginning their academic journey.
Present at the meeting were the Rector of USUST, Professor Kostiantyn Sukhyi, the Vice-Rector for Research, Professor Yurii Proidak, and the Head of the Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Department, Cand. of Tech. Sc., Associate Professor Nataliia Makarchenko.
The university’s rector, Professor Kostiantyn Sukhyi, addressed the postgraduate students with a welcoming speech, highlighting the significance of their scientific activities and the university’s support in implementing research projects:“You are the future of our science, and we are glad to welcome you to the large academic family of USUST. Your work will significantly impact the development of fields that shape our future. I wish you inspiration, perseverance, and great achievements on your journey! Remember that USUST is always ready to support your scientific initiatives.”
Vice-Rector for Scientific Work, Professor Yurii Proidak, introduced the scientific schools and main areas of scientific work at USUST, discussing opportunities for postgraduate students to participate in international research projects, grants, and conferences. He emphasized the possibilities the university offers young scientists, aiding their professional development.
Associate Professor Nataliia Makarchenko, Head of the Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Department, presented the organization of the educational process and the requirements for successfully completing research work. She detailed the regulatory documents, the academic calendar, class schedules, the reporting process, and opportunities for publishing scientific papers, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the principles of academic integrity.
