Free training in construction and reconstruction of Ukraine continues at USUST
Free training in the field of construction and reconstruction of Ukraine continues at the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies. Starting February 2, 2026, a new group of participants will begin the program, which is aimed at developing practical and digital skills that are in demand in the modern construction industry.
The training is open to people of different ages and with diverse professional backgrounds, those who are just planning their career path and those who wish to retrain or acquire a new field of expertise.
The program is designed for individuals who want to contribute to the reconstruction of Ukraine without performing any physically demanding work. Priority in the selection process is given to women, as well as to representatives of the project’s target groups, including internally displaced persons, veterans, and people with disabilities. The training is inclusive and open to a wide range of participants.
Within the program, participants develop digital construction skills, including design, modeling, coordination, and inspection using modern tools employed by international companies. The curriculum also covers the fundamentals of construction materials, energy efficiency, green building, occupational safety, inspections, and the preparation of technical documentation.
A special emphasis is placed on hands-on training: participants work with such tools as SketchUp, 3D scanning, and Trimble Connect, gain exposure to real construction processes, complete a final project, and receive career guidance and recommendations.
The training will last 120 hours and will be delivered in a hybrid format (online and offline). Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate and gain practical skills that enhance their opportunities for future employment in the construction sector.
The project is implemented by Swisscontact with financial support from the UK Government through UK aid, within the framework of the BLOOM Programme.
The programme is delivered by the BLOOM Consortium, which includes Mercy Corps, International Rescue Committee (IRC), Swisscontact, and Right to Protection (R2P).
Implementation is carried out through HERZ Construction Association LLC in cooperation with EAUA – Education Alliance for Ukraine.
USUST supports initiatives aimed at the development of human capital, recovery of the country, and training of professionals capable of working with modern technologies in construction
