First Training of the Grant Writing School

On November 28, 2024, the first training of the Grant Writing School took place on the topic: “Preparation and Submission of Project Proposals for Participation in Horizon Europe Competitive Programs.” The event was organized by the National Contact Point for “Climate, Energy, and Mobility” at the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies ( Dnipro).

The training gathered around 100 participants, both on-site and online.

Event Highlights:

• Welcome Address delivered by Vladyslav Danishevskyi, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Director of the Scientific and Educational Institute “Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture”, and Head of the NCP “Climate, Energy, and Mobility.”
• Introduction to Grant Writing presented by Oleksandr Zhadonos, Cand. of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Electrometallurgy named after Academ. M.I. Hasyk. The session covered the basics of developing successful grant proposals and the application of a logical-structural approach.
• Project Idea Development presented by Marina Babenko, Cand. of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, and Head of the International Scientific Cooperation Center of SEI PSACEA, discussed principles for formulating project ideas aligned with Horizon Europe’s requirements.
• Tools for Partner Search presented by Maksym Kolisnyk, Cand. of Sc. in Public Administration, Chief Specialist of the Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, conducted a detailed review of instruments for identifying international partners within the program.
